Our stay at the York lodges was fantastic. We took our two dogs away with us for the week and had a fantastic time, we will be coming back again and we will be recommending these lodges and Hoseasons to our family and friends. Mr W, Newark, Nottinghamshire 19 February 2011
Well what a wonderful site, so near to York and yet it seemed as though we were in the middle of nowhere. Once there you do not need to use your car as the Park and Ride is across the road, there is also a 24 hour Tesco too. The park itself is lovely, plenty of ducks come to say hello and it is nice and tidy. The lodges are nice and snug, and Neil the manager is very helpful - thanks for a great break! Mr N, Lincoln, Lincolnshire 14 January 2011
The holiday was lovely, perfectly situated with the tranquility of the lake by the lodges but the convenience of being near major road routes for days out and a very handy park and ride into York city centre. The lodge is comfortable and well furnished. Would definitely stay there again. Mr W, Gosport, Hampshire 26 October 2010
Only 2 miles outside York town centre beautiful lodges around a lovely lake. Really peaceful and relaxing. Local 24hr Tesco 5 minute walk away with a park and ride service into York. Highly recommended. Mr T, Liverpool, Merseyside 29 August 2010
Lovely, peaceful and quiet site. The best of both worlds between being so close to York, but feeling like you are in the countryside. Mrs F, Carlisle, Cumbria 20 August 2010
Just 2 miles from the city centre the site has the peace and tranquility of one in the middle of nowhere. Mr B, Preston, Lancashire 08 August 2010
Beautiful accommodation. Everything a family needs. Convenient for Tesco and for Park & Ride into York. Lovely outdoor space for children to play right infront of the lodges. Excellent! Mrs K, WALSALL, West Midlands 06 June 2010
Great location. Mrs K, Birmingham, West Midlands 01 June 2010
The lodges are very spacious and have everything you need. The park was great for families, including a small playground and ducks and squirrels wandering around the grounds. Anglers were making good use of the fishing facilities. Only a 5 minute walk to the park and ride facility and a huge Tesco extra store. Lots to do in York. The train museum and Castle museum were excellent. Waterworld at Monks Cross has good swimming pools/slides etc. The ghost walk leaving the Shambles at 7.30pm daily was great fun and enjoyed by all ages. Mrs. C, BARROW-IN-FURNESS 31 March 2010

A beautiful location and ideal if you are a fisherman. A very comfortable base for taking day trips into York and the surrounding areas via a park and ride at Tesco's car park. Mrs C, ABERYSTWYTH, Dyfed 18 September 2009
Very relaxing and a peaceful holiday. The lodges are of a very high standard and the location is excellent to enjoy York and the rest of Yorkshire. The nearby park and ride can have you into the center of York in 10 minutes! Mr M, SOUTH SHIELDS 30 August 2009
None, everything was just fine for a relaxing holioday. Mrs F, NORTHAMPTON 27 August 2009
What a great facility, even if you do not fish. Park and ride facilities, shopping facilities are all within walking distance and there are areas for kids to play in front of lodges with other kids, smf you can still keep an eye on them. A great facility with a quiet sense of community. Mr. T, BALLATER 17 August 2009
